The Virginia Association of Health Underwriters is only as strong as our individual
members are active.  It is because of volunteers like you that we are able to have valuable
professional development programs, great social events, and give back to the local
community.  

Currently 100% of our administrative activities and grassroots political efforts are performed by members - like you - who lead busy, professional lives outside of VAHU.

If you are interested in serving the state or a local chapter, please contact the President Elect or email communications@vahu.org.

Standard Board Positions Include: President, President Elect, Secretary, Communications, Education/Programming, Treasurer, Fund Development Chair, Media Chair, Legislative Chair, HUPAC Chair, State Conference Chair, Community Service/ Hospitality Chair

Time Commitment:  As a volunteer position, your service on the VAHU Board will be what you make it.  Dependent on the position the minimum time commitment required to fulfill your positions responsibilities may vary significantly (i.e. the president will likely need to commit more time that the secretary).   The VAHU Board has a minimum of 4 meetings in Richmond annually.  Local chapters boards typically meet monthly or semi - monthly.
