Affordability is becoming the driving issue for small employers as they seek solutions to keep viable health plans for employees and their families. There are 12 distinct issues driving the rising cost of healthcare, making small group health insurance plansun affordable. Radical solutions to the affordability problem which slash healthcare costs, improve access and quality of healthcare are available. However, they do not exist in the framework of the traditional insurance marketplace. This course introduces several cutting edge concepts that restore affordability and give the small employer active control of those healthcare costs into the future. We will also address the new role of the “healthcareadviser.” Agents and brokers will need to expand the scope of their capabilities and offerings if they intend to build and maintain their client base over the next five years. In this interactive seminar, you will be walked through the scary maze of ERISA compliance to ensure you can advise your clients on the ever changing world of compliance. We’ll discuss the need forplan documents – including Wrap Documents - as well as other ERISA requirements that will help keep your clients on track and on time with their compliance document needs, making sure they avoid filing penalties and meet all of the government requirements for their plan.
Accounts can be combined with other benefit programs to provide the best benefit program with the greatest tax savings. We expect that benefit consultants will be able to more confidently discuss critical issues and solutions that exist as they implement these specific plan designs with their clients. The method of instruction will include power point presentations and other information if pertinent to the classroom discussion. The course is taught to health brokers, benefit consultants and other healthcare advisors.
